This Colonial brick mansion originally belonged to Thomas Heyward - a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Among the Heyward-Washington House's notable features are an authentic 18th century kitchen replete with cook ware and utensils from the period, as well as a remarkable English Charleston Garden. .
